Just checking in. Doing okay here. Still trying to get my meds just right and therapy has been tough lately, but for the most part, I'm okay. Boy, this trying to get better stuff is hard!

Hi Davey, what's up buddy? one day at a time as I tell myself, the future can change in a second so I don't count on it. Today is a brand new day, how exciting!! actually, I have tons of housework to do, yuk
LOTS OF PEOPLE DREAM OF TRAVELING, MINE IS OF FAMILY & FRIENDS, ISN'T IT FUNNY HOW WE ALWAYS WANT WHAT WE DON'T HAVE? I DON'T GO OUT MUCH, I'M A HOMEBODY. I TRY TO GET OUT OF MY COMFORT ZONE BUT I DON'T COPE WELL AT ALL. NEVER BEEN ONE TO TAKE THE FIRST STEP. I GET PANIC ATTACKS A LOT, AND FOR FAMILY I WAS RAISED IN A CONVENT SCHOOL AT THE AGE OF 5. UNCONDITONAL LOVE IS WHAT I HAVE FOR MY CHILDREN, I LEARNED WHAT IT IS. HOPE YOU CAN READ THIS BETTER. I HAVE TO REMEMBER YOU CAN'T SEE WELL. WELCOME TO YOU IN MY LIFE, DAVEY PS) DON'T BE SO ANGRY
Thanks for being my friend!! I was wandering around the site, hoping you would find me. I read all your blogs and you are right you are hard on yourself but extremely frank, I hope you straighten me out whenever I pull the pity me stuff. I have wasted too much time singing that old song. My husband and I travelled the whole US and Canada in an RV. It took us 9 yrs and 9 mths out of the year, looking for an ideal place to retire and guess what? stayed right here, where we were. A rolling stone doesn't gather any moss and this is so true in life. I'm done traveling.
Sorry for the delay in writing, but haven't been on the site till now. Thanks for the warm welcome : ) I think I posted my pics first then profile, so you wouldn't have known about the performing.
You're in Leesburg, I'm in the Cape. Hope you're enjoying your time here. My word, the last couple of weeks were so cold!
Next show won't be till mid April. I only do about 3 shows a year, as I still hold down a full time job. Great fun, but like having 2 jobs. And auditions aren't until first week of Feb.
I remember reading about Bourdain. They make more from those appearances than they do the shows. I think he was on the east coast recently.
Funny, we were both in radio. I was always the midday maiden. Made more from freelance, radio/tv commercials and industrials. Write when you can~~b
Yo Boom, Nah little Phil has not died. He's one hard ta kill lil sob. i bought him a vw, back in the seventies. He blew a tire goin to a gig one nite, and, as he was changing it, got hit by a car! Knocked im about 100'. He woke up three months later to find this huge black guy standin over him- yet none the worse for wear (cept one already short leg was about two inches shorter)
Phils about 5'2" and can rock a blues harp like nobodies bidness! He's just released a coupla albums on Hottrax Label- One is a retro from his earliest days with The Night Shadows and the other is called Out of the Shadows. Mostly Beach music type stuff with some psychadelia thrown in.
He was frontman with Kudzu for years, playin mostly the southern curcuit. Our bandmate,Birdlegs, went on to form Spyro Gyra, a jazz fusion group. Phil rocked out the seventies and part of the eighties with a band called Bandit. i was in Chi. then and we've lost and retouched many times over the years. One thing i can say, its nice to keep friendships alive, me and phil have been friends for almost thirty eight years.
So, are you still doin radio?
PS i appreciate your comments to my rants- see my rant about weed in the forun section.
