Wind

I feel like a Man of War

The British navy.

White sails above blue seas

That ruled the waves. At

Trafalgar, a bloody defeat,

Of the French and Spanish fleet.

But I’m decrepit, insanity prevails.

Truth be known,

Ain’t no wind in my sails.

Where the wind comes from

And goes to, I haven’t a clue.

Yet it blesses the chosen few.

A Man of War I am vicariously.

The wind howls through the chasm

Where my brain used to be.

A chosen one I guess I’m not

Suck it up sailor, and

Accept your lot.

I really liked this and it describes how I feel as well.. You are a "chosen one" ...Your NOT insane.. As for accepting your lot...Well, no you don't have to.. We (you and I) can change it if we want to.. Change is hard and I am having a difficult time trying to get up out of my rut.  I don't like "suck it up" because we have to work through things in order to be cured and "sucking it up makes us worse.. Don't accept your lot if your not happy.. We are here if you need to talk.. Write me anytime..

Now back to your poem.. I adored it.. Can relate to it.. Hit my soul.. Thanks.. You have a wonderful gift..
