Hi Mo! OMG do I KNOW what you're talking about. Twins I have, boy & girl, 22 yrs young, though they don't know it. Both have lost their licenses. Daughter as you know came back from Cali, and well, she just had a miscarriage. Has a job, driving her to and fro, son has a sort of job. Landscaping but that all depends on his friend who does have a license. On & on & on. His one very good friend who was bass in local band here "Not Yet Rated" left a almost 2 years ago for PA for some much needed respit with his parents. My attorney keeps telling me that I'm the glue - I keep telling him I may be the glue but its "crazy" glue and I'm wondering when and/or if there will be time for me any time soon. I guess I did that before I had the kids at the age of 31. Best years of my life with deceased husband/dad to my kids. Took us 6 months to get from upstate ny to florida! Had a wonderful time. But in any event, you are totally correct, they never really "leave". Not sure what to do about my son. He has rage issues, has been diagnosed w/ADHD but he's gotten himself into so much trouble, I fear that he has been "plagued" with bi-polar perhaps? Just not sure and he won't go to get help b/c there is "nothing wrong" with him. Calling me names, etc. Never would have thought to do that to my mom or dad. I think I've done too much trying to make up for the suicide of their dad when they were 3. I don't know. Today, I am vegging out . Love to always hear from you Mo!! Still tryin to work out the semantics of gettin out that way. After all the years of haulin chitlins around, i thought i'd get a reprive when they graduated and went "off" on their own.
OH! Helll No! The younger one has a job, but no licsense, the older one has like two gigs (Meaning long late nites and- you guessed it- just lost his licsense! No matter how hard i try to get out- they keep pullin me back in! MO
