In October of 2007 I was terminated from my job at Bank of New York - Mellon. I was terminated because I was deemded a threat. Why was I a threat?

  • During a period of mania I implusively posted a paradoy of a company motivation poster in my cubicle. I poked fun at the company's "Impact is Inspiration" poster by creating a smaller facimile of the test and replacing the empoyee picture with a picture of Charles Manson. I thought was funny at the time but in retrospect, no. I was asked to remove the poster and I did. Other employees had parodies of corportate culture (including using words like "shit"). This "triggered" an investigation of my internet access.
  • Being a former Marine, I checked MilitaryPhotos.net often. The site posts photos from offical sources all in one place. That is, you can see photos published by the Department of Defense, Department of the Navy, British MOD, etc... all in one place. The Bank of New York - Melllon falsely tries to claim that these are all pictures of assualt weapons. Such a statement is a total mischaracterization of the truth.
  • They deemed that since I looked at these photos I am a potential threat. Yea, I'm going to hijack a billion dollar aircraft carrier to strike at my employer (sarcasim). They used this so called threat as a reason to terminate me after 10 years of service.
  • This is where it gets good; I asked that the letter of discipline that I received for the parody poster be removed only two business days after I received it. The conduct was a direct result of the impulsivity that mania breeds. The poster had no function on my job performance and the ADA states that this is a valid reasonable accommodation.
  • The Bank of New York Mellon claims they were unaware of my illness until I request the reasonable accommodation. This is an outright lie. They knew well of my illness as far back as 2004.
  • Don Enfinger, that general manager of the facility that I worked at claimed that I defaced company property. When they found out that I had photos of this "so-called piece of property" (the original poster) time-stamped two weeks after my termination, in pristine condition did they finally back off that claim.
  • Did I look at guns? Yes I did, and so did  many of my coworkers.  Sites that were classified as fire arms were two-tenths of one percent of my internet access (based on the bank's records). That's 0.2%!!!! Why is this problem, other people looked at guns, hunting, etc.??? It's a problem because I'm bipolar. That right, BIPOLAR. so this puts a different standard on me than other people.
  • In fact, Don Enfinger states that the employee who reported my parody stated that I looked at "assault weapons" on the internet. The only problem for the Bank of New York - Mellon is that this employee signed an affidavit where he states that he never said anything about "assault weapons". This is just another lie from Don Enfinger and the Bank of New York.
  • Two employees signed statments that mangement referred to me (behind my back yet openly) as "Wacko" and "Crazy Rob". That's The Bank of New York - Mellon way to refer to people with psych disorders.

My time is limited right now so I'll add more to the blog as soon as I can. I want justice!!!
