I needed to respond to a clip I saw today on "Defining Moments" where Joe Pantoliano gave an honest and candid description of his battle with depression , one I was never aware of-
I was deeply touched by his bravery in speaking openly of his inner struggles and inspired by his resolve to help others who feel alone, afraid and worst of all ashamed, to recognize that depression and any other mental illness is just that.
I am grateful that he is persuing acknowledgment from the medical community and insurance companies that mental "dis" ease needs to be treated and covered as such.
I love when he said "We all need to abandon the hope of a better past!"
So true Joey.
You are to be commended for taking others as well as yourself.
I was always a fan but I am a bigger fan now.
Thank you.
