Tony Curtis was one of my big first "crushes", (of course next to Johnny Crawford of "Rifleman" fame), But Tony, as well as Jack Lemmon, will always reign supreme as one of the great actors of his generation.
One of his first movies, "The Sweet Smell of Success" nearly garnered Curtis an Oscar nom, which, many feel he definitely deserved, but who can ever forget his side splitting turn as a woman in "Some Like It Hot"; a role originally considered for Lemmon.
Curtis also had his demons. For years, he battled drug and alchohol addictions, a fact he was quite honest about; and in later years became a very prolific artist. Bernard Scwartz, of Bronx, NY, rest well- we'll all miss you.
